Zoolander 2 May Not Be Happening
Posted on May 3, 2010
We just loved Zoolander; we thought it was just hilarious. So when we heard Ben Stiller was writing a sequel and that Owen Wilson would be returning as the male model Hansel, well, we were thrilled.
But now Paramount may have put the kibosh on the project. Ben Stiller tweeted:
Ron Burgundy and Derek Zoolander looking to appear in sequels. Both men destitute, without means or intellect to fund their own comebacks.
Paramount just axed Anchorman 2, hence the Ron Burgundy reference by Ben Stiller. This is just awful. We need more Blue Steel. And more Will Ferrell as the Karl Lagerfeld-inspired character. Although Karl is so thin now that Will would have to re-do his ensemble.
Update: Never fear. There will indeed be a sequel and more perfect posing. Go watch the First Zoolander 2 teaser.
