Zach Galifianakis Talks Hangover 3 With Matt Lauer

Zach Galifianakis was a guest on The Today Show to promote The Hangover 3. Matt introduces Zach by saying, "He plays the odd but sometimes lovable Alan. Alan has been off his meds for six months when this movie starts. I told you to never to go off your meds, why did you do that?"

Zach joked, "Going off my meds is all part of the research. Alan goes off his medication and the guys are worried about him so they try to take him to an institution."

Zach said he worries that people will still want to hear about these characters, but he's happy with the movie. Matt mentioned Zach's well-reviewed stint as host on Saturday Night Live and Zach asked Matt if he'd ever hosted. Matt said he has not hosted it and they would never ask him, but admitted he'd do it in a minute if it was offered Zach offered to make some calls for him to make it happen.
