New Wimpy Kid Film Tops Sucker Punch at Box Office

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules won the weekend box office with a $24 million take. The film managed to best Sucker Punch, which had several female stars, including Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Vanessa Hudgens, Jena Malone and Jamie Chung. Sucker Punch made just over $19 million. Limitless, starring Bradley Cooper, did very well in its second week in theaters. It made another $15 to bring its 2-week total to $41 million.
Limtless was followed by The Lincoln Lawyer, Rango, Battle Los Angeles and Paul. The Rango film, featuring animated chameleons, has now topped the $100 million mark. You can see the complete box office report here.
