William Shatner Launches MyOuterSpace
Posted on March 17, 2010
William Shatner has launched a social network for people interested in being part of the science fiction industry. It's also for science fiction fans. The description on the website, MyOuterSpace, says the social network is to "create an arena for Sci-fi, Horror and Fantasy fans to display their talents."
This project has been a labor of love for all involved; to create an arena for Sci-fi, Horror and Fantasy fans to display their talents, learn about the latest tools in technology, and interact in a unique online community that's out-of-this-world. Starting with the vision of Sammy Oriti; the guidance of William Shatner; the talents of Sci-Fi designers John Eaves, Douglas E. Graves, and Sean Scott; the music of film composer Richard Friedman; and the web expertise of Matt Willey; Myouterspace.com is now live!To join the site people have to choose one of six planets. The planets correspond to different types of media and talents including graphic design, writing, acting, music, games and movie/tv production. There is no charge to register on the website.
Note: The MyOuterSpace social network is no longer live.
