Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg Star in Trailer for Daddy's Home

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are back together again in the family comedy, Daddy's Home. The duo, who starred in The Other Guys, play dueling daddies who are determined to one up each other. Ferrell plays Brad, the stepfather to his wife Sarah's (Linda Cardellini) two children Dylan and Megan. Brad is a mild mannered radio executive who has always wanted to be a dad and who puts everything he has into being one.

Things are going pretty well until his wife's ex-husband Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) arrives on the scene. Dusty is a special-ops agent who is tough, cool and rides a motorcycle. And he wants his family back. The two guys immediately begin to compete for the kids' affection, although they already prefer Dusty by far.

The comedy stems from the increasingly ridiculous stunts each dad pulls to one up the other. Dusty sees that Brad is still working on a children's tree house, which is pretty pathetic. He takes over and turns it into a dream fort, complete with zipline. But Brad has a few tricks up his sleeve -- like showing up with a live pony for Christmas.

There have been so many movies about battling moms and stepmoms, it's refreshing to see a take on the whole dad-stepdad dynamic. Ferrell is hilarious as he takes one look at Dusty and realizes he is really going to have to up his game. We feel fairly sure they all get along in the end. Alessandra Ambrosio, Thomas Haden Church and Paul Scheer co-star in the film, which hits theaters Christmas Day, 2015.
