Warner Bros. Considering Second I Am Legend Film
Posted on February 18, 2012
Will Smith may get another chance to return to a post-apocalyptic zombie-filled world. Deadline reports that Warner Bros. is considering a second I Am Legend film starring Will Smith. Arash Amel is busy writing the screenplay.
A prequel appears to be most likely since Will Smith's character Robert Neville meets his demise in the end with a hand grenade. There was an alternative ending where Neville did not die, but it is not the ending most people saw in theaters. Maybe it could be a sequel with Will Smith playing one of the Darkseekers.
Update: We haven't seen a sequel and it has been over ten years so there must be a development problem.
