Vigilante Entertainment Acquires Film Rights to Black Summer

Variety reports that Vigilante Entertainment has acquired the film right to Warren Ellis's comic book series Black Summer.
The comic books are about a group of scientists who have modified their bodies so they can fight crime and government and police corruption. The enhanced scientists go by the named the Seven Guns.
Variety says Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman are attached to the project. They would be great as two of the scientist crime fighters. Ryne Pearson (Knowing) has been tapped to write the screenplay adaption.
Warren Ellis also had the film rights to his Gravel comic book series purchased recently by Legendary Pictures.
