Robert Downey Jr. is returning to the Marvel Universe. He will play Doctor Doom in an upcoming film. The big reveal was made at Comic-Con in San Diego.

Robert Downey Jr. is best known as his role as Tony Stark (Iron Man). This time he gets to play a villain instead of a hero.

Joe and Anthony Russo are set to direct the Avengers: Doomsday movie which will arrive in about two years in May 2026.
