Veronica Mars Film Greenlit After Setting Kickstarter Record

A film based on the Veronica Mars film has been greenlit after an impressive Kickstarter campaign to raise money and show support for the film.
The film set a pledging record on Kickstarter by getting over $1 million in donations in just four hours and 24 minutes. The Kickstarter page was set up by Rob Thomas, the creator of the series and director of the upcoming film.
Thomas said on the Kickstarter page that Warner Bros. was on board if they could show their was enough fan support for the film. He also said Kristen Bell has always wanted to do it. Following the positive news the new film will be made Kristen tweeted, "dear pope: Im sorry VM fans stole ur thunder on ur 1st day. I mean,Im not really that sorry,but i thought it would be polite 2 say so. xo."
