Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson Battle a Demon in The Conjuring 2
Posted on June 11, 2016
Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return as demonologists Lorraine and Ed Warren in The Conjuring 2, which is based on one of the Warrens' real cases. The Warrens are the couple that investigated the real incidents in the home that became infamous in the book and the later film The Amityville Horror. Ed Warren became a demonologist after a career in the Navy and as a police officer. His wife, a psychic, is still alive. Their case files formed the basis of James Wan's The Conjuring
In this case the Warrens travel to north London where they are asked to help a single mother of four children. The house is infested with evil spirits and one of them possesses a young girl. It's up to the Warrens to free the child without getting killed in the process.
The Warrens are hailed as saviors by families they have helped. Others claim they are frauds, but they have the most extensively documented files on supernatural events ever recorded. They have also consulted with the police. Is this story really true? They claim it is. Even if you aren't a believer, you'll have your socks scared off by James Wan's excellent take on the material.
