Trailer for Kill the Messenger Starring Jeremy Renner

Here is the trailer for Kill the Messenger which is based on the true story of Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Gary Webb. Webb published the Dark Alliance series of articles for the San Jose Mercury News which blew the lid off the connection between the CIA and the sale of crack cocaine to fund the Nicaraguan Contras rebel army.

The story lit a firestorm and Webb came under attack. His reputation was destroyed. Barry Pepper, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosemary DeWitt, Ray Liotta, Andy Garcia, and Michael Sheen also star in the film which will be released on October 10, 2014. The film looks quite interesting. Take a look:
