Top Grossing Films are SF and Fantasy
Posted on July 16, 2008
The top films at the box office right now are all either fantasy or science fiction, which is pretty interesting.
The rankings as of last weekend were: Hellboy II: The Golden Army which made $34,539,115 (first weekend gross), Hancock which has made $164,115,004 (cumulative), Journey to the Center of the Earth which has made $21,018,141 (first weekend gross), Wall-E, which has made $163,055,900 (cumulative) and Wanted, which has made $112,455,060 to date.
It certainly shows that the interest in sf and fantasy is there, if the films are good.
