The Vow Sets Valentine's Day Box Office Record
Posted on February 15, 2012
The Vow set a box office record on Tuesday. The romantic comedy, starring Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum, made over $11.5 million on Valentine's Day. This easily beat the Valentine's Day record of $7.5 million set by Hitch in 2005. The Vow also won the box office over the weekend.
Safe House, a spy thriller starring Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds, also had a very strong Valentine's Day box office. The film made over $6 million on Valentine's Day, which is very impressive since it does not fit in the romantic comedy category.
