Clip From The Rover Starring Robert Pattinson and Guy Pearce
Posted on May 9, 2014
Robert Pattinson is simply amazing in this new clip from the film Rover. The film is set in a futuristic version of the Australian outback. Times are tough, and criminal gangs roam the countryside. Pattinson plays a a naive young man named Rey whose brother left him for dead when he was shot during a robbery gone wrong.
He's stuck with Eric (Guy Pearce), a disillusioned man who is searching for the gang that stole his prized possession. In this scene Eric lays out his grim view of life. Rey tells Eric that he doesn't believe his brother Henry intentionally left him behind, but Eric sets him straight about the nightmarish world in which they live. Pattinson nails the southern accent, it's simply amazing. There is not a trace of his other characters. The Rover is an Official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival. It will premiere there later in May. It will premiere in L.A. June 13th and go nationwide on June 20th. Take a look:
