The Punisher Annoys Daredevil in Season 2 Trailer
Posted on February 15, 2016
Netflix has released the trailer for season two of Daredevil and it looks fantastic. Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) spent season one bringing some kind of order to Hell's Kitchen. As Daredevil, he put a lot of bad guys down. But now there's someone new in town: Frank Castle/The Punisher (Jon Bernthal). Castle thinks Daredevil can't get the job done. After all, the bad guys are usually alive after tangling with Daredevil.
The Punisher is a true vigilante that thinks revenge should go all the way: he meets out death to those he deems evil. This does not set well with Matt, who is no murderer. He seeks justice, not revenge. In the trailer he grapples with his own guilt, asking his priest why he still feels that way. The priest tells him it is because his work is not finished.
Matt's friends Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) appear in the trailer. Karen wonders if Daredevil's exploits are the magnet that drew the Punisher to Hell's Kitchen. We don't see Elektra Natchios (Elodie Young), Matt's old flame, but she figures prominently in season two.
The full season will be available on Netflix on March 18, 2016, at 12:01 am. Take a look:
