The Magnificent Seven Wins Box Office With $35 Million Opening

The Magnificent Seven won the box office this weekend with a $35 million opening. The western remake stars Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke and Vincent D'Onofrio. It has an A- CinemaScore.
The Magnificent Seven was followed by the animated Storks, which opened with $21.8 million. It features the voices of Andy Samberg, Katie Crown and Kelsey Grammar. Storks also has an A- CinemaScore.
Storks was followed by Sully which slipped to third after two weeks in first place. It has made $92 million after three weekends in theaters. Sully was followed by Bridget Jones's Baby, Snowden, Blair Witch, Don't Breathe and Suicide Squad Suicide Squad has made $318 million after 8 weeks in theaters. Bridget Jones's Baby has underperformed in the U.S. with just $16.5 million after weeks but it has done much better overseas. Deadline reports that it topped the international box office this weekend making $21.9 million, which is more than its U.S. gross to date.
