The Lego Movie Wins Weekend Box Office for Second Consecutive Weekend

The Lego Movie won the weekend box office again this past weekend. The film made nearly $50 million during its second weekend in theater, with a very impressive $13,204 per theater average. The animated film has now quickly made $130 million.
Two other opening films also did well. The romantic comedy About Last Night, starring Michael Ealy and Kevin Hart, opened with $25.6 million. RoboCop, a remake of the science fiction thriller, also did well with a $21.7 million opening.
The Monuments Men came in fourth during its second weekend in theaters. It was followed by Endless Love, which had a decent opening with $13.3 million. Endless Love was followed by Ride Along, Winter's Tale, Frozen, Lone Survivor and That Awkward Moment. You can view the complete weekend box office report here.
