Taylor Swift looks glamorous in the new issue of Vanity Fair. The high fashion cover shoot was photographed by Mario Testino. She's pictured next to a keyboard on the cover. Taylor's black and white outfit matches the keyboard and the white letters on the black background.

Vanity Fair calls Taylor the "most influential 25-year-old in America." She was interviewed by Vanity Fair writer Josh Duboff. Some of the topics they discussed included Taylor's Apple letter, Kanye West and some of the women celebrities she looks up to.

Taylor's now famous letter to Apple helped motivate Apple to improve its terms for independent musicians. Taylor says, "Apple treated me like I was a voice of a creative community that they actually cared about. And I found it really ironic that the multi-billion-dollar company reacted to criticism with humility, and the start-up with no cash flow reacted to criticism like a corporate machine."

She says her relationship Jay-Z helped her reconcile with Kanye. She says, "I feel like I wasn't ready to be friends with [West] until I felt like he had some sort of respect for me, and he wasn't ready to be friends with me until he had some sort of respect for me-so it was the same issue, and we both reached the same place at the same time. I became friends with Jay Z, and I think it was important, for Jay Z, for Kanye and I to get along. . . . And then Kanye and I both reached a place where he would say really nice things about my music and what I've accomplished, and I could ask him how his kid's doing."

Two of the women celebrities Taylor says she looks up to - Oprah and Angelina Jolie - are both very big on giving back. Taylor says, "If you look at Oprah, she's made so many people happy over the years. She's made so much money, but she's given so much of it away. . . . Same thing with Angelina Jolie. She's been so productive, but she's used that position to better other people's lives, and I think that's where I'd want to be."

Taylor wears some stunning outfits and jewelry in the shoot. She can be seen biting on a tiara. You can view the photos here. Taylor played the word association game for Vanity Fair. The word New York was associated with fashion and "award shows" was associated with terror in Taylor's mind. Taylor says has a lot of birthday cards in her purse in case she runs into someone and it might be there birthday. Talk about being prepared. Take a look:
