Studios Want Tom Cruise For Thrillers

Variety reports that the major movie studios are all knocking on Tom Cruise's door. It sounds like the star's career is back on track.
With his career now steered by a team headed by CAA's Kevin Huvane, Cruise has been more proactive and aggressive than in past years about meeting studio execs and showing interest in a flurry of projects.Variety says the three film projects Cruise is most likely to do next are:There are at least five suitors trying to get Cruise to say yes.
The concerted courtship of Cruise comes at a time when studios are thinking long and hard about which actors deserve to be paid superstar gross deals
- Matarese, rival spies are forced to work together against a shadowy organization. Denzel Washington is also slated to star.
- The Tourist, a female Interpol agent (Charlize Theron) uses an American tourist to catch a criminal.
- Motorcade, terrorists commandeer the president's motorcade on the streets of L.A.
