Here is the trailer for Straw Dogs starring James Marsden, Kate Bosworth, Alexander Skarsgard, Walton Goggins and Drew Powell.

The film is a remake of the classic 1971 psychological thriller directed by Sam Peckinpah. That film starred Dustin Hoffman and Susan George as a couple who moves to northern England where the wife grew up. They ended up being assaulted by the "straw dogs" -- four local workers with which they have had altercations.

The film is known for its incredibly violent rape scenes, and its themes of vengeance. The film is based on the novel, The Siege of Trencher's Farm by Gordon Williams.

In this remake, the action has been moved to the Southern U.S. The husband (Marsden) is a Hollywood screenwriter who moves back to his wife's (Bosworth) hometown. Directed by Rod Lurie, the film opens September 16, 2011. Take a look:
