Teaser Trailer for Season 2 of Netflix's Stranger Things
Posted on February 6, 2017
Netflix aired a teaser trailer during the Super Bowl for the highly anticipated season two of Stranger Things. The brief trailer takes us straight back to the 80s with an opening clip from the classic 1979 ad where two kids tell each other to "Leggo my Eggo!" Then the images start coming fast and furious.
Now we know that the missing Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) loves her toaster waffles, so clearly waffles are still a thing in season two. We also get images from classic Spielberg films as Indiana Jones and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Eleven's three friends are dressed like the Ghostbusters (the original film, not the remake), and it appears to be Halloween in Hawkins.
We're told that "The world is turning upside down" and it seems clear that there is a new monster in the offing. This plus the logline which says, "A year after Will’s return, everything seems back to normal...but a darkness lurks just beneath the surface, threatening all of Hawkins."
The new season will star Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder and David Harbour. Paul Reiser and Sean Astin are also joining the cast. We can't wait until Halloween, when the show returns. Take a look:
