Stephen Hawking Helps Big Bang Theory Beat American Idol

The New York Daily News reports that Stephen Hawking's guest appearance on The Big Bang Theory helped the show beat American Idol in ratings on Thursday night.

Over 13 million watched the show. The show has defeated the popular American Idol reality show in the ratings before, but we say this is evidence that more scientists need cameos on major television shows.
