The Social Network Wins Box Office

The Social Network was the top movie in theaters this weekend. It made $23 million. The film, which tells the story of the creation of the popular Facebook website, had great reviews.

There is also some Oscar buzz for the film. The film stars Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake, Andrew Garfield, Joseph Mazzello and Armie Hammer. The dialogue by Aaron Sorkin is engaging and compelling.

The Owls of Ga'Hoole edged out Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps to take second place. Both films added over $10 million to their box office grosses. The Town finished fourth and made $10 million. Easy A came in fifth in its third week in theaters and added another $7 million to its box office total, which is now over $42 million.
