SNL Spoofs Third Presidential Debate

Posted on October 24, 2016

The third and last presidential debate is behind us, so SNL gave us one last debate sketch. Alec Baldwin returned as the meanest and grumpiest of the Trump impressions and Kate McKinnon returned as Secretary Hillary Clinton. Tom Hanks, the night's host, played moderator Chris Wallace.

The sketch hewed fairly closely to what really happened, and used many of Trump's actual words and phrases -- perhaps as a pointed response to his fury at the last debate sketch which he said was part of the media conspiracy against him. Trump also complained that Alec Baldwin's impersonation of him is not funny.

This debate featured Hillary's excitement at winning her Trump Bingo game when when Trump pulled out the term "bad hombres," during a discussion on immigration. Hillary said he choked when he went to Mexico and didn't ask the country to pay for the wall. But Trump fired back that he had a great meeting with Mexican president Guacamole -- then correcting himself to refer to him as Senor Guacamole. He also informed the audience that he has a wide base of celebrity support, including Sarah Palin, Chachi, and "the best Baldwin brother -- Stephen Baldwin."

Hillary took a few hits, as well. The funniest one was when Trump asked her what she had been doing for the past 30 years, at which the moderator yelled at Trump for walking into that Trump. Hillary promptly launched into an endless recital of her resume and all she's done for the past 30 years. And did she mention that she helped kill Osama Bin Laden? Take a look:
