SNL Skit: Hank Williams, Jr. on Fox and Friends
Posted on October 9, 2011
SNL revisited the Hank Williams Jr. scandal in which he referred to President Obama as Hitler in a nonsensical tirade. Williams (Jason Sudeikis) appeared on Fox and Friends with his Media Representative (Ben Stiller) who said he would be speaking for Hank from now on.
Fox hosts Steve Doocy, Gretchen Carlson and Brian Kilmeade defended themselves when the rep said the incident was their fault for letting Williams speak in the first place. The funniest part of the skit is the end credits where the fact checker corrects all the inaccurate statements made during the show.
Here are some of the corrections, which scroll by pretty quickly:
- The second president of the United States was John Quincy Adamas, not Sam Adams Summer Ale
- There are seven continents, not one thousand.
- Julie Andrews is an award winning British actress. She has never been on trial for kidnapping.
- Flu shots prevent influenza and have nothing to do with getting into heaven.
- There is not now, nor has there ever been a plan to air-condition the Grand Canyon.
- Nicolas Cage did not sign the Declaration of Independence
- Herman Cain did not invent pizza
- Vermont still exists
- Mary Madgalene was not eaten by a dinosaur
- Whole Foods does not provide free abortions
- Jungle Cruise Tops Weekend Box Office
- A Quiet Place Part II Tops Memorial Day Box Office
- Godzilla vs. Kong Tops Box Office
- Disney to Offer Cruella and Black Widow on Disneyplus Same Day as Theater Release
- Raya and The Last Dragon Tops Box Office for Third Consecutive Weekend
