SNL's Hilarious Trailer for Black Widow Rom Com, Black Widow: Age of Me

Posted on May 3, 2015

With the Avengers opening this weekend to record box office numbers, many fans would like to know when Black Widow will get her own movie. With Scarlett Johansson hosting Saturday Night Live, it seemed a good time to showcase the trailer for the upcoming film. Of course, they get it horribly wrong.

The trailer is hilarious: it's called Black Widow: Age of Me. Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) has been shoehorned into a romcom that's film that's part The Devil Wears Prada, part Sex in the City and part 27 Dresses, which makes sense the writers of the Katherine Heigl rom com co-produced the film with Marvel. Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow breaks a heel on a way to her first day at her new job at NYC's prestigious Fashion Weekly magazine with a Miranda Priestly-like boss who adores her catsuit with a low neckline. Natasha is winning at her career. But what about love?

She discusses her love life with her gay friend Thor (Taran Killam) and her buddies Captain America and Nick Fury (Jay Pharoah). She falls for the charms of the robot Ultron, but things don't work out after he throws a city bus into the building where Fashion Weekly's offices are housed. The news caster notes that she "would hate to be that guy's girlfriend." This causes Black Widow to cry buckets on her sofa. After all, she really loved that job. But don't worry, the Hulk is here to share an ice cream cone with her before she heads off to Paris.

We hope Marvel is paying attention. Give Black Widow her own, real super hero movie. Take a look:
