Skyfall Returns to Top of Weekend Box Office
Posted on December 10, 2012
Skyfall returned to the #1 spot in theaters this weekend. The new James Bond film was last number one during the November 9-11 weekend when it opened atop the box office. It has reclaimed the lead after making $10.7 million during its fifth week in theaters. The film has now made a total of over $260 million in the U.S.
Skyfall was followed by Rise of the Guardians, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, Lincoln and Life of Pi. The only new wide-release film this weekend, Playing for Keeps, performed very poorly. The film, starring Gerard Butler, made just $5.75 million in over 2,800 theaters. Box Office Mojo says Butler's latest film may perform better overseas.
