Jackie Chan and Johnny Knoxville are On the Run in Skiptrace Trailer
Posted on July 20, 2016
Jackie Chan and Johnny Knoxville star in the first trailer for the action comedy Skiptrace. Chan plays Bennie Chan, a top Hong Kong detective who must team up with an American gambler named Connor Watts (Knoxville) to stop a crime lord. Fan Bingbing, Eric Tsang, Eve Torres and Michael Wong also star.
Watts does not want to be detained by Chan, because the crime lord has put out a hit on Watts for seeing something he should not have. The mismatched pair then go on a road trip in which their differences could get them killed.
The film was directed by Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Cliffhanger, so you know the action scenes will be great. Jackie Chan has had a lot of hits with American co-stars, our favorites being the original Rush Hour with Chris Tucker and Shanghai Noon with Owen Wilson. In this trailer Johnny Knoxville seems to be channeling a calmer version of Vince Vaughn. The stunts look great and Knoxville and Chan seem to get along rather well. Take a look:
