Trailer for Serena Starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper
Posted on September 12, 2014
The trailer has finally arrived for Serena, which stars Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. The film was actually shot years ago, but in the meantime Bradley and Jennifer got so famous that it took forever to finish up the post-production due to their newly busy schedules.
The film is based on the 2008 novel by Ron Rash. Set in the late 1920s and the 1930s, the film is set in the North Carolina mountains. Jennifer plays Serena Pemberton and Bradley plays her husband George Pemberton. The newlyweds are ambitious and hard working and set out to build a timber empire. When the Depression hits, their lives are turned upside down,
Serena is an unusual woman for her time. She is fully involved in the business and has the strength and courage to face danger in the male-oriented logging business. Between the physical dangers and the shocking revelations about George's past, Serena has a lot to face.
The film was directed by Susanne Bier and was shot just after Jennifer and Bradley wrapped Silver Linings Playbook. It will premiere at the London Film Festival. It has a U.S. distributor, but so far no release date has been set for the U.S. It will be released in Europe, though. So it's not even clear whether you'll be able to see this in an American theater. We think you will, eventually. After all, look who the stars are.
