Robert Downey, Jr. and Tom Holland Star in First Spider-Man: Homecoming Trailer
Posted on December 9, 2016
The new Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer has dropped and we finally get a look at the new, younger Peter Parker/Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland. This Peter Parker is very, very young. Like barely out of elementary school looking young. But he seems personable enough. In this trailer he and his best friend moon over girls while Peter gets advice from his new mentor Tony Stark/Ironman (Robery Downey, Jr.).
The new villain is played by the former Batman himself, Michael Keaton. Now he is a villain. At one part he warns off Spidey and we really believe his threats against Peter's family. That would include Aunt May, played by Marisa Tomei. The film also stars Donald Glover, Jon Faverau, Martin Starr, Logan Marshall-Green, Garcelle Beauvais, Angourie Rice and Zendaya.
We loved both Tobey Maguire's and Andrew Garfield's takes on Spider-Man, and still can't believe we're on the third reboot of this franchise already. But when Iron Man referred to the new superhero as Underoos in Captain America Civil War, he really wan't kidding. Did we mention he is really, really young? Just a baby, really.
Directed by Jon Watts, the film hits theaters on July 7, 2017. Take a look:
