First Trailer for Rings, the Third Film in the Horror Franchise
Posted on August 29, 2016
The first trailer for Rings has been released by Paramount. This is the third film in the popular horror franchise that began with 2002's The Ring which starred Naomi Watts. This time around a young woman enters a nightmare world when her boyfriend watches a video he should not have watched. Yes, Samara is up to her old tricks once again. Any one who watches the tape (this time it's a video with a secret video hidden within) will die in seven days, after being appropriately terrorized for a full week.
The scariest scene in the trailer come just after one character intones, "You've opened up a door and now no one is safe." At that point we get to see the curse kicking in on a plane mid-flight. As if travelers today don't have enough problems.
The film stars Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, Johnny Galecki, Aimee Teegarden, Bonnie Morgan and Vincent D’Onofrio. It was directed by Javier Gutierrez (Before the Fall) and is scheduled to hit theaters on October 28, 2016. Take a look:
