Ride Along Wins Weekend Box Office

Ride Along, starring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart, won the weekend box office. It made a very impressive $41.23 million. Lone Survivor came and second and made $23.2 million during its second weekend in wide release. The Nut Job, an animated comedy, debuted in third and made $20.5 million.
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit debuted in fourth in a weaker than expected opening. It made $17.2 million. Frozen continues to show box office staying power. It made nearly $12 million during its ninth weekend in theaters to push its gross over the $330 million mark. Frozen was followed by American Hustle.
The Devil's Due was the other big opening film this weekend. It opened with $8.5 million. One of the horror film's interesting promotional efforts was a demon baby viral video. You can find the complete box office report here.
