Thomas Jane and Kevin Connolly Get Inspired in Reach Me
Posted on October 6, 2014
Can a self-help book change lives? That's the question asked in the trailer for the new film called Reach Me. The reclusive author (Tom Berenger) garners a devoted following as the book's teachings spread by word of mouth.
The film has a very interesting and large cast. Kevin Connolly plays a journalist on a quest to find the author who inspires such devotion. Sylvester Stallone plays the editor who also paints. Kyra Sedgwick is a former prison inmate who changes her life because of the book. Thomas Jane plays an undercover cop with an anger problem who sees his life differently after reading the book. Nelly plays a hip hop mogul and Cary Elwes plays an actor.
Other cast members include Ryan Kwanten, Tom Sizemore, Terry Crews, Danny Aiello, Kelsey Grammer, and Lauren Cohan. The film was written and directed by John Herzfield (2 Days in the Valley, 15 Minutes). The film hits theaters on November 21, 2014.
The trailer doesn't give much away, but it does show how reading the book makes each of these very different personalities take stock of his life and decide to make some changes. Some of them seem obsessed with finding the author. It's anyone's guess how it will end.
