Amazon's Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams Series to Debut on January 12

Amazon has announced that it will start offering its Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams series on January 12. The sci-fi anthology series will be available exclusively on Prime Video. Amazon is also home to the highly entertaining series, The Man in the High Castle, which is based on Dick's alternative history novel.

Some of the cast members include Steve Buscemi, Greg Kinnear, Maura Tierney, Janelle Monae, Bryan Cranston, Anna Paquin, Terrence Howard, Vera Farmiga and Richard Madden. The tales each take place in a unique world. They are set from five to 5000 years in the future. Each episode is inspired by one of Philip K Dick's short story.

Brad Beale, Vice President, Worldwide TV Content Acquisition, Amazon Prime Video, says in the announcement, "We're excited to share the fantastical world of Philip K. Dick as it’s never been experienced before. With the combined creative genius behind this series, as well as the stellar cast and visually compelling locations, every episode of this sci-fi anthology is sure to be an entertaining experience for our Prime members."

Some of the writers and directors involved in the series include Ronald D. Moore, Michael Dinner, Tony Grisoni, Jack Thorne, Matthew Graham, David Farr, Dee Rees, Travis Beacham, Jessica Mecklenburg, Francesca Gregorini, Alan Taylor and Peter Horton. Amazon says, "each epic story will explore fantasy, humanity, and a future we've only begun to imagine." Here is the series trailer:
