Posted on April 21, 2013
Oblivion won the box office this weekend with a strong $38 million take. The science fiction film stars Tom Cruise, Olga Kurylenko and Morgan Freeman.
The Boston Marathon manhunt did not appear to diminish the box office too much. Oblivion was followed by 42, which had a strong second weekend following its box office win last weekend. 42 made $18 million push its box office gross past $54 million.
42 was followed by The Croods, Scary Movie 5, G.I. Joe: Retaliation and The Place Beyond the Pines. You can see the complete box office report here.
