Nicolas Cage and Adrian Grenier Star in First Trailer for Arsenal
Posted on December 16, 2016
We certainly weren't expecting a sequel to Deadfall, but it appears we now have one. Well, sort of of. The first trailer for Arsenal is out and it features Nicolas Cage reprising his character Eddie King from that film. Nick is in full, crazed eccentric bad guy mode as he generally terrifies anyone who crosses him.
In this case it is two brothers who run afoul of the foul-tempered Eddie. Mikey Lindel (Johnathon Schaech) and JP Lindel (Adrian Grenier) are in big trouble when the older brother Mikey, a small time hood, ends up owing Eddie big money. The younger, successful brother JP is determined to save Mikey when he is kidnapped by Eddie's goons.
He turns to a family friend Sal (John Cusak), a police detective, for help. Sal tells him that the police will be no help and it will be up to JP to get the money by any means necessary. This is a very dangerous and reckless thing for JP to do, but he is determined to save his brother.
Deadfall featured Olivia Wilde and Erik Bana trying to flee the country after a casino heist went horribly wrong. The only real connection we see here is Eddie King, but perhaps there will be more in the actual film. As for Nicolas Cage and John Cusak being in the same movie once again, we can only marvel at how much time has passed since Con Air. Directed by Steven C. Miller, the film hits theaters on January 6, 2016. Take a look:
