Netflix Drops Spooky Trailer for New Series, The OA Starring Brit Marling
Posted on December 12, 2016
So what is the deal with Netflix, anyway? They keep dropping these trailers on us for interesting shows that are imminent with no prior warning whatsoever. Not that we're complaining after the amazing Stranger Things. This new trailer is for a eight episode miniseries called The OA and it definitely has some otherworldly vibes.
The miniseries was created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij (Sound of My Voice and The East. Prairie Johnson, a young blind girl, disappears from her home town, then shows out out of the blue seven years later. Brit Marling plays the grown up Prairie, who seems fine and somehow her sight has been restored. She says she was present for all of that time, but refuses to talk about what happened to her. Naturally there are some scientists with a contraption that may be able to "see" what she experienced if she will just talk about it.
So did she get kidnapped by aliens? Did she die and come back to life? Was she kidnapped by crazed scientists? We have no idea, but can't wait to find out. The miniseries will be available for binging on December 16, 2016. Take a look:
