Dwayne Johnson is the Demigod Maui in Moana Teaser Trailer

Walt Disney Animation has released the first trailer for Moana. In this trailer Dwayne Johnson is hilarious as the demigod Maui. He is doing his best to impress Moana Waialiki (Auli'i Cravalho), the young girl who goes on an epic journey from the South Pacific with the help of Maui.

Maui regales Moana with all his amazing qualities: even his tattoos try to get in on the action. But Maui and her pet pig are unimpressed with his tales of his great courage and skill. The clip gives us a taste of the original song "We Know the Way" written and performed by Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda (who picked up just about every Tony Award there is last night), along with Opetaia Foa'i and Lion King composer Mark Mancina.

The animation is really beautiful and the Rock is perfect in his delivery of Maui's lines. The film was directed by Ron Clements and John Musker (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Princess & the Frog). It hits theaters on November 23, 2016. This looks like another monster hit for the Disney Animation team. Take a look:
