Minions Top Weekend Box Office

The Minions topped the box office this weekend. The film opened with $115 million. This is the second highest opening of all-time for an animated movie. Minions features the voices of Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton, Allison Janney, Pierre Coffin and Steve Coogan.
Minions was followed by Jurassic World which added $18.1 million to its growing box office gross. The film has now made over $590 million in the U.S. and nearly $1.5 billion worldwide. Inside Out made $17 million to bring its domestic gross to over $283 million.
Inside Out was followed by Terminator: Genisys, which made $13.7 million during its second weekend in theaters. Next was The Gallows, a horror film starring Reese Mishler, Pfeifer Brown, Ryan Shoos and Cassidy Gifford. It made $10 million which is a decent opening for the small budget horror movie. Gallows was followed by Magic Mike XXL and Ted 2.
Self/Less, a science fiction thriller starring Ryan Reynolds and Natalie Martinez, did not have a good opening. It made $5.3 million in 2,353 theaters for a low opening per theater average of $2,286. Meanwhile Baahubali:The Beginning, an Indian Telugu fantasy film, managed to make $3.5 million in just 236 theaters - a large per theater average of $15,148.
