Mike Colter Stars in the First Trailer for Luke Cage

Netflix released a new trailer for Luke Cage at Comic-Con and it's intense. Fans of Jessica Jones got to know Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and now he's getting his own series on Netflix. Cage has impenetrable skin and is really strong, so he has all the makings of a hero. In this clip he casually rips a door off a car to use as a shield. Later, he wraps it around a bad guy to keep him in place.

The trailer also stars Mahershala Ali, the slick lobbyist Remy Danton from House of Cards. He plays a villain from the comic books, Cornell Stokes. He seems to be taunting Cage in their short encounter in the trailer. Netflix has four Marvel based shows in its lineup: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. The four heroes will eventually link up for a miniseries based on The Defenders comics.

The trailer features the music of Ol' Dirty Bastard: yes, that's "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" playing in the background while Cage walks through a hail of bullets, unbothered. This is going to be awesome. Take a look:
