Meryl Streep Wins Best Actress

Meryl Streep won Best Actress at the 2012 Oscars for her performance in The Iron Lady. This is Meryl Streep's third Oscar win. She thanked her husband first so he would not get played out with the music.

She also thank make-up artist and hair stylist Roy Helland, who she first met 37 years ago. They first worked together on Sophie's Choice. Meryl also thanked her colleagues in the industry. She said she understands she won't be "up here again." Here is Meryl's acceptance speech. Take a look:
