Martin Scorsese Wins Best Director for Hugo at Golden Globes

Martin Scorsese won Best Director - Motion Picture for Hugo. Martin said his daughter Francesca read the novel, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, by Brian Selznick, when she was ten. She encouraged him to make the movie.
He also thanked cast members including Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Choen, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Lee and other. The film was a great story. It also provided a look at the early history of movie making.
