Lupita Nyong'o and Stephen Colbert Do Silly Walks

Posted on September 19, 2015

Lupita Nyong'o was a guest on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and revealed that she loves to be scared, be embarrassed and do silly walks on the street with her friends. But she says she can't really do them any more because people watch her now.

Lupita explained, "Comedy is very scary. And I like to be scared." Colbert asked her if she likes to be embarrassed and noted that he does. Surprisingly, she answered yes she does like to be embarrassed. This explains why she loves to do silly walks on the street. Naturally Stephen immediately invited her to do a silly walk with him.

Stephen went first doing The Really Cool Guy Who Can't Walk Down Stairs. Lupita -- who looked fabulous in a low cut jumpsuit and heels -- then performed Paranoid Person Whose Pants are Falling Down. Lupita was absolutely amazing doing this. We had no idea how she pulled off that crazy walk without breaking an ankle. She has amazing balance. We never think of Lupita doing comedy, but she told Stephen that she would definitely be interested in doing a silly comedy.

She was on the show to talk about her role as a wife of a Liberian warlord in the off Broadway play Eclipsed. The play was written by Danai Gurira, who plays Michonne on The Walking Dead. She will also star in the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens, although she's not allowed to talk about the role yet. Here is her silly walk in heels:

Lupita shared a cute backstage photograph above on her Instagram account.
