Here is the trailer for Ira Sachs' Love Is Strange. John Lithgow and Alfred Molina are a longtime couple who decide to get married after gay marriage is legalized in New York. But finalizing the union gets Molina's character Ben fired from his job as a Catholic school teacher. Now hard up for income, both Ben and George (Lithgow's character) the couple must separate and each move in with relatives and friends.
Needless to say, their relationship is strained by the separation. The kindness of friends and neighbors also has its limits. The film also stars Marisa Tomei, Cheyenne Jackson, Darren Burrows and Charlie Tahan. It debuted at the Sundance Film festival and will hit theaters on August 22, 2014. Take a look:
