Ben Affleck stars in the first full trailer for Live by Night a prohibition era drama he adapted from the novel by Dennis Lehane. Affleck also directed the film. He plays Joe Coughlin, a WWI vet who is the youngest son of the Boston Police Deputy Superintendent, a very conservative man. But Joe is a non-conformist and drifts into a life of crime.
Although he hates the Mob and what it stands for, he gets mixed up with some very shady people. He moves to Tampa and becomes a rum runner. Naturally he makes a lot of enemies and suffers a lot of losses. This leads to his quest for revenge. The drama also stars Zoe Saldana, Elle Fanning, Scott Eastwood, Anthony Michael Hall, Titus Welliver, Chris Messina, Sienna Miller, and Chris Cooper.
Ben Affleck also directed the adaptation of Dennis Lehane's bestseller, Gone Baby Gone. It looks like he has another hit on his hands, with this action-packed drama that travels from Boston to Florida to Cuba during the Roaring 20s. Take a look:
