Kristen Stewart Tirade Over Relationship Questions in New Moon Interview

Posted on November 4, 2009

Kristen Stewart got really cranky when she was asked if she was dating co-star Robert Pattinson, launching into an expletive-laced tirade while still not answering the question. It all went down at an Entertainment Weekly press roundtable to promote New Moon, the next film in the Twilight franchise.

EW reports that Kristen said, "I probably would've answered it if people hadn't made such a big deal about it. But I'm not going to give the fiending an answer. I know that people are really funny about 'Well, you chose to be an actor, why don't you just f---ing give your whole life away?! Can I have your firstborn child?'"

And this was just part of Kristen's response. Pattinson gave a hilarious "me too" to chime in with Kristen.

Where is this child's publicist? She sounds like a vain, spoiled brat. We realize that she's only 19. But saying how she doesn't want to be Angelina Jolie isn't helping her image. We think she needs to stick to acting and send out a body double -- would that be a mouth double? -- to do her interviews. Because she is a disaster in an unscripted situation.

Actually, we know exactly where her publicist is: with her manager, crying into their beers. People are being laid off. The economy sucks. They turn to entertainment and celebrity gossip to escape their lives for a little bit and live the fantasy. It goes with the territory.

All she has to do is say "we're just good friends" and smile, or even wink if she likes. Or say, "no comment." That's it. She's answered the question, left it ambiguous, and kept her privacy. There's no need to have a tantrum. It's unprofessional. Being a movie star doesn't mean you have to reveal your innermost feelings to the public. But it does mean you have to answer personal questions a million times, preferably with some sophistication and panache.

Kristen seems much more upbeat and pleasant in this EW New Moon feature with Taylor Lautner. She does say, "I'm so not Bella."
