Kristen Stewart Apologizes to Robert Pattinson for Cheating With Married Snow White Director
Posted on July 25, 2012
Well, this is a total shocker. Kristen Stewart cheated on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders. Sanders is 41 years old (that's 19 years older than Kristen) and is married with two young children.
The couple were caught making out all over Los Angeles in a car and some of the cheating photos are racy. Twilight fans were hoping the photos were faked, but alas they are not.
Kristen issued this statement: "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."
Good grief. Kristen Stewart spent years refusing to talk about her relationship with Rob and even compared being asked personal questions to being raped. Now she's declaring her love for Rob to the public and throwing herself on her sword with a groveling apology? Who does that? It makes us start to believe the rumors that they were never really dating at all. We have never once heard of a young female celebrity apologizing for cheating on a boyfriend to the media. That's usually reserved for politicians facing reelection and an angry electorate. We're thinking Summit is furious this happened before the launch of Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2, and someone informed Kristen that she would be apologizing publicly -- or else.
We quite enjoyed Snow White and the Huntsman and thought Kristen did a good job in the role. The director's wife, Liberty Ross, played Snow White's mother in the film, Queen Eleanor. That's going to make filming the sequel a bit awkward, isn't it?
