Kit Harington Reveals His Hair Has Its Own Contract With HBO

Kit Harington was a guest on Live with Kelly and Michael to talk about the finale of Game of Thrones and promote How to Train Your Dragons 2, in which he plays Eret. Under questioning by Kelly, who was co-hosting with The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons, Kit revealed that his hair has its own contract with HBO.

Kelly told him that his hair was one of the most popular things on the show. Kit's explanation about his hair is really funny. First he tried to explain why he can never cut his hair: "It has its own contract, definitely...I never thought I'd say that about my own hair." He says his contract forbids him to cut it while the show is on the air.

He said this led to a series of increasingly silly discussions between his agent, his manager and the powers that be at HBO about the length of his hair, the style of his hair and whether or not Jon Snow should have curly hair. They refused to do a weave for the show, they wanted his hair to be real. He tried to negotiate to be able to cut two inches off, but they refused. So he tried for one inch, but was denied. He's had long hair for years now and was it was really bugging him. But it was not happening. He said it was a bit of a surprise, but he's resigned to having long hair now.

This is Kit's first animated film. He said they did base the animated character's look on him. Kit says that he always get cast as these really big characters, but he says he's not big. When he showed up on the Game of Thrones he couldn't figure out why all the actors were so short. then he says he realized it was to make him look taller. Take a look:
