Kristen Bell talked about her Veronica Mars movie in an interview with Lara Spencer on Good Morning America. The new film became a reality thanks to the tv shows' diehard fans and an innovative Kickstarter campaign launched by creator Rob Thomas. The film arrives simultaneously in theaters on video on demand on March 14.
The interview began in a new space GMA calls its Social Square. Kristen said the space was "rad." She was instantly hit with a question from the Instagram Chat Wall. She was asked if she could have dinner with any three people who would it be. Kristen quickly answered, "Audrey Hepburn, Malcolm Gladwell and Richard Pryor."
Kristen told Lara she wanted to make a Veronica Mars movie she the show was canceled. She was always confident a movie would eventually happen. She says, "I hate to say I told you so, but I did know it."
The film takes place about nine years after the end of the series. Veronica gets sucked back into the private detective life when her ex-boyfriend Logan gets in trouble. Kristen says her husband, Dax Shephard, also has a "stud muffin cameo" in the movie. She says it wasn't hard jumping back into the character. Kristen also talked about the "No Kids Policy" movement. She says the paparazzi can be extremely aggressive on the streets and run red lights to get photographs of celebrity's children. She says, "It's really just about consent." Take a look:
