Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves Cover Billboard Magazine

Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves cover the latest issue of Billboard magazine. Kacey will be joining Katy on part of her Prismatic tour in August. The two singers also appear in a June 13 CMT special called Crossroads. In the interview, the singers say they will be performing duets together during the tour. Katy and Kacey also talk about music and why they are touring together.

Katy Perry on Kacey's Music: " think [Kacey] straddles the line like I straddle the line of appropriateness and still maintaining a sexuality that is healthy and exciting. And it's not all about that. It's about sending inspiring and empowering messages and being a think-for-yourself type of woman."

On Why They Make Sense Together on Tour: Kacey says, "We're both very whimsical in our own ways, but I think at heart we're both songwriters." Katy says, "She struck a chord in me. I feel like we have the same eyes. Not in a physical sense, but in a way of perception."
